BIOGRAFIA

Pia Parodi, an artist from Liguria, has been living in Rome for many years. In Rome she got her artistic training at Nude Free School in Fine Arts Academy. Then she attended at Maestro Antonio Necci’s teaching, revealing a peculiar style of hers in her oil coloured landscapes, full of impressionistic reminiscences. Light and soft chromatism stirs changing and almost obliged emotions toward feelings of peace and harmony, each one desiring to be only a thing with those landscapes caught from a dream. So calm and quiet that one can forget, just a moment, the every day troubles. Pia Parodi’s paintings are a tale, a mood for the heart, she changes our emotions into images as well as mysterious colours, so soft to drop out deeply the memory of the things. Pia Parodi’s art is a tale that lifts emotions, it seeps them through and changes into fascinating images of mysterious colours. Her mellow-colours embrace the things in memory deeply and interlace an exclusive dialogue by a personal technique and timbre. All landscapes, pale and dark blue, give a touch of poetry to real things, meanwhile a thin glare makes its way to open spaces. Her paintings are gloomy, her brushes wide and streaked, and let the light enter with liveliness and volume. In the suggestive landscapes, faint and suspended in an air of serenity, the past-present out –the-time caresses her canvas and the things in sight, in the harmony of colours, feeds the needs of soul. Her water-lilies, so recurrent in her works, live on the surface like a mirror embracing the sky, continually changing and soaking all mystery and magic up (Maria Ferloni).
